The annual celebration of the feast of St.Vincent Pallotti at the native village of the Pallotti family, St. Giorgio di Cascia, was done in a very solemn manner this year on the 10th May 2009. About 40 Pallottines including sisters, young priests-students of our International College, novices and postulants participated at the celebration. The solemn Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rector General, Fr. Friedrich Kretz and the liturgy was animated by the Pallottines and the local choir. In his homily Fr. Fritz reminded of the invitation of Pallotti to all the faithful not to be mere spectators but active participants in the mission of the Church. The presence of the novices and the formators from the International Novitiate at Grottaferrata added a new dimension to the celebration this year. The Mass was followed by a sumptuous lunch and procession in the village with the statue of St. Vincent. The Pallotti family, always so gracious and generous, was presented with a beautiful statue of their holy son, St. Vincent by the Rector General.

Notizie dal Generalato/Notizie dall'Unione dell'Apostolato Cattolico
As per the tradition, the representatives of the Union of Catholic Apostolate gathered together this year on 31 October 2009, at the vigil of the Solemnity of All Saints, in the Church of the Holy Spirito dei Napolitani, Via Giulia, Rome, in order to celebrate the Holy Eucharist of thanksgiving to the Lord, for the erection of the Union of Catholic Apostolate as a public ecclesial association of all the faithful and the approval of its General Statute by the Pontifical Council for the Laity. The holy Mass was presided over by Fr. Zenon Hanas, Vicar General of the Society of the Catholic Apostolate. The liturgical celebrations directed the participants to the central theme of the feast, namely, the call to holiness, about which the main celebrant spoke during his homily. Also three members of the Union of diverse vocations- a priest, a religious sister and a lay person - shared their own experiences on this theme. Through the common prayer of the Apostolic Commitment in the Union, the Pallottine priests , brothers, sisters and lay people, expressed their readiness to place themselves in complete service of the Kingdom of God and the mission of the Catholic Church according to the Pallottine charism. At the end, with the Marian hymn of “Salve Regina”, the participants prayed for the protection and guidance of Mary, Queen of Apostles, of our holy Founder and all the saints for their apostolic endeavours.

The feast of Mary, Queen of Apostles, the Patroness of the entire Pallottine Family was celebrated solemnly in Rome. The picture of the "Cenacle" in our church SS. Salvatore in Onda was specially decorated by our Sacristian Bro Wojciech Szporna. The Generalate Community had a special Mass before lunch presided over by Fr. Gilberto Orsolin, Rector of the Community.
The most spiritually enriching part of the celebration was the Holy Mass and the Vigil Service in preparation for the Solemnity of Pentecost, prepared by the General Secretariat of the Union in our church of Queen of Apostles, at Via G.Ferrari, Rome, before the original picture of the Cenacle of our Founder. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rector General, Fr. Jacob Nampudakam. During the homily he examined the various dimensions of the "Cenacle", for developing an effective "Pedagogy of the Cenacle" in view of forming authentic apostles of Jesus, in the spirit of our Founder. The Vigil service enabled the large number of members of the Union present in the church to live these dimensions spiritually by renewing their baptismal commitment, praying with Mary in Cenacle, listening to the Word of God, meditating on the spiritual writings of Pallotti and praying and singing together the "Veni, Creator Spiritus...". The Vigil Service was an apt preparation for the solemnity of Pentecost.

Notizie dal Generalato/Regime Generale
This year the annual feast of St. Vincent Pallotti at San Giorgio di Cascia, the native place of the Pallotti family, was celebrated on 9 May 2010. As usual, the day of the feast was preceded by a triduum guided by Sr. Edoarda, CSAC. The solemn Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by General Consultor and Rector of the Generalate House, Fr. Gilberto Orsolin. The Concelebrants included Fr. Derry Murphy, President of the General Coordination Council of the Union of Catholic Apostolate, who preached also the homily, and Rector General Fr. Friedrich Kretz, who led the procession. Besides, there were also many Pallottine sisters and confreres, local priests and faithful. The absence of the parish priest, Fr. Natale, who could not take part in the celebrations this year due to ill-health, was very much felt. In his homily, Fr. Derry Murphy underlined, citing the theologian Karl Rahner, that the "veneration of the saints in the Church is necessary for its life and work. Otherwise there is the danger of sanctity remaining something abstract. The saints help us to see how the Gospel can be incarnated and lived in different ways and in different social and historical situations. The fundamental mystery of Christianity is not that God has created the world only to be served and glorified, but that it may be permeated by his grace and presence." According to the preacher, such thoughts of Rahner were realised by St. Vincent Pallotti in his life and person. He did it in Rome, in the nineteenth century, in very concrete and practical ways, to such an extent that he was known as the Saint of Rome and Father of the poor. In the afternoon of the same day, the usual procession with the statute and relic of Pallotti was conducted on the streets of this village. The musical band of Cascia, directed by Master Montani, added colour to the procession. The Pallotti family took active part in the organisation of the liturgy and feast. Our sincere gratitude to everyone.
