International Pallottine School Camp, Dongargarh, India, 10-18 January 2010. The idea to gather the Pallottine schools from all over the world in a camp was the result of the seminar on Pallottine Educational Institutes held in 2006 in Rome. With the blessings of Rector General, Fr. Friedrich Kretz and the constant guidance of Fr. Jacob Nampudakam, General Consultor, the Pallottine International School Camp became a reality. Three Pallottine schools from Europe and three schools from India participated in the camp. It was a camp of nine days with 35 participants in addition to the students of the host school, St. Vincent Pallotti International Residential School at Dongargarh. The guests included: Fr. Friedrich Kretz, Fr. Jacob Nampudakam, Sr. Serena Cambiaghi, Superior General of the Sisters of the Catholic Apostolate (Italy) and Sr. Lilly Nanat (Italy), General Consultor, Fr. Ray Heaven (Australia), Fr. Sergio Schaub (Argentina), Fr. Martin Manus – (Germany), Br. Stephen Buckley (Ireland), Fr. Andrezej Zelek (Poland), Fr. Christian Stumpf (Germany), Fr. Gilbert Mascarenhas (India), Fr. Charles Kujur (India ), Fr. M. Prasad ( India ). The objectives of the camp were: promotion of global belonging and harmony; appreciation of different cultural values; exchange and sharing of educational systems; experience of global oneness; appreciation of the uniqueness of Pallottine educational institutions; creation of an awareness about the existing socio-economic scenario amongst our youth. This camp gave a rich learning experience in various ways to the students and teachers. 5. The Generalate community, together with other members of the Union of Catholic Apostolate, gathered together on 29 January 2010 in our church of SS. Salvatore in Onda for thanking the Lord for the presence and work of Fr. Bruno Bayer. He has lived for many years in the Generalate, dedicating himself to the study on Vincent Pallotti and specially took care of the edition of the Letters of our holy Founder. In fact, the eight and the last volume is being printed and will be published shortly. The Rector General, Fr. Friedrich Kretz, in his homily during the Mass of Thanksgiving presided over by Fr. Bruno Bayer, underlined the extraordinary dedication and patience with which Fr. Bruno Bayer worked all these year and thanks to his efforts, today the entire Pallottine family is able to know Pallotti more profoundly. The letters reveal the true face of Pallotti, as human being and priest. Fr. Bruno Bayer will leave the Generalate by mid February and will continue to nurture his passion for our Founder by translating the most important Letters of Pallotti into German. PHOTO

Notizie dal Generalato/Istituto S. Vincenzo Pallotti
During the months of April to July 2007 restoration and conservation work was carried out in the rooms dedicated to the historical memory of St. Vincent Pallotti. This work was necessary for three reasons: to clean the rooms and put the electrical system in order; the conservation of the historical objects that are present; a better environment in order to welcome the visitors. The work was initiated with the proposals prepared by the Institute of St. Vincent Pallotti and presented to the General Council for approval. With a letter of April 20th 2007, the Rector General, Fr. Friedrich Kretz, SAC, communicated the decision of the General Council to the Pallotti Institute. The work was supervised by Fr. Jan Kupka and Serenella Morandotti on behalf of the Pallotti Institute. In the room in which St.Vincent Pallotti died on January 22nd 1850, conservation work was carried out. All the prints and some of the paintings were framed. The original setting was preserved and only the display of some of the prints was changed in order to make them more visible.

Notizie dal Generalato/Regime Generale
From 24 to 25 October 2009, in preparation for the new academic year, two days of spiritual retreat was organised for the students–confreres of the International College of Queen of Apostles at St. Vincent Pallotti Spirituality Centre, at Grottaferrata, Rome. The retreat started with an excellent spiritual conference by Fr. Karl Heinen, our Procurator General, on the Biblical text Micah 6,8: “You have already been told what is right and what Yahweh wants of you. Only this, to do what is right, to love loyalty and to walk humbly with your God”. Time was given for silence, faith sharing and liturgical celebrations. On the second day, Fr. Gilberto Orsolin, Rector of the Generalate Community, spoke about “Intercultural experience: a richness and challenge in community life” and Fr. Jacob Nampudakam, the Formation Guide, deliberated on the theme “Pallottine Formation: its importance for the students-confreres of the International College”. Both the conferences highlighted the points mentioned in the “Guidelines of the International College at the Generalate House”. As a whole, it was a very positive experience for all the 15 participants of this spiritual retreat, the first initiative of this nature.

Notizie dal Generalato/Regime Generale
The spiritual retreat for the Pallottines in North America was held at San Alphonso Retreat House, New Jersey, a beautiful house situated by the Atlantic ocean, from 25-28 July 2011. The retreat preacher was our confrere, Fr. Eamonn Monson, member of the Mother of Divine Love Province, Ireland. This spiritual event was attended by about 45 Pallottines belonging to the different Pallottine entities present in USA and Canada. The Rector General, Fr. Jacob Nampudakam, who is also the person responsible for the North American Continental grupping participated in the retreat. Following the main theme of the XX General Assembly, "To revive faith and rekindle charity: Apostles of Jesus in a changing world", this retreat is to be seen as a significant initiative for living the spirit of our charism, first of all, among ourselves. The confreres experienced also a great sense of fraternity besides the spiritual nourishment. Thanks to Fr. Eamonn Monson as well as Fr. Peter Sticco and all the members of the Immaculate Conception Province for providing the opportunity to gather together as one family for such an important spiritual and communitarian event. The spiritual retreat was followed by the North American Continental Meeting, starting after lunch on 28th July and ending at noon on the 29th July 2011. The agenda consisted mainly of three points: 1) Setting up the Ad Hoc Committee to study the current situation of the Pallottines in the USA (cfr. Final Document of the XX General Assembly, recommendation, n. 10); 2) Establishing the North American Continental Meeting according to the norms approved by the XX General Assembly (cfr. Final Document of the XX General Assembly, Decree n. 2); 3) Presentation of the Document on Vocation Promotion. The spiritual retreat together with the Continental meeting will certainly strengthen the spirit of a common mission and collaboration among the Pallottines in North America.

From 8 to 12 June 2009, the General Administration held a "special session" exclusively dedicated to the preparation for the XX General Assembly 2010. This was the first phase in the organisation of the General Assembly and was specifically aimed at finalising the main theme, the related topics and their development; they also dealt twith he Agenda of the Assembly with special attention to the Methodus and the process of the election of the new Rector General and his collaborators. The General Administration has chosen the house of the "Divine Master" in Ariccia (www.casadivinmaestro.it) for the next General Assembly. The structure of the house, its size, the numerous halls and chapels, and especially its location, provide the atmosphere of silence and concentration necessary for this event which is so important to our Society.

Notizie dal Generalato/Notizie dall'Unione dell'Apostolato Cattolico
The first meeting of the Year 2012 of the three Core Communities of the Union of Catholic Apostolate took place on 28th January 2012 at the Generalate House of the Missionary Sisters of the Catholic Apostolate. All the members of the 3 General Council, except one, were present at the meeting this time. The agenda consisted of the following main points: sharing of the main developments in the three Communities since the last meeting; evaluation of the Tridum of St. Vincent Pallotti; further reflections on the Golden Jubilee of the Canonization of St. Vincent Pallotti; evaluation of the recently concluded General Assembly of the Union, and assessment of the one year course on Pallottine formation. The evaluation of the UAC General Assembly made the Core Communities aware of the important responsibility that they have in the promotion of Pallottine charism (cfr. General Statutes of the UAC, nn. 34 & 35); the UAC is not to be seen as a reality "out there" apart from these three communities but all of us together make this Ecclesial reality. The next meeting is scheduled for 31 May 2012.

Notizie dal Generalato/Istituto S. Vincenzo Pallotti
By the end of February 2008, n. 19/2008 of the Periodical "Apostolato Universale", which completes the 10 anniversary of its edition, was sent to all the subscribers. This issue has 72 pages and contains various contributions on the history and spirituality of St. Vincent Pallotti. We wish to call your attention to the texts of Francesco Todisco SAC concerning the first recognition of the body of St.Vincent Pallotti and the restoration of the historical places dedicated to him. Particularly worth mentioning is the conference of Cardinal Paul Josef Cordes on the Encyclical "Deus caritas est" and St. Vincent Pallotti. Inside you will also find contributions on the realisation of the charism of St. Vincent Pallotti in the missionary activities and on the primacy of love in Christian life. It is recommended that you also take a look into the Pallottine bibliography in which all the Pallottine publications during the period July - December 2007 are included. The materials contained in this issue constitute a collection of historical notes as well as inspirations to live the Pallottine charism today.

Notizie dal Generalato/Istituto S. Vincenzo Pallotti
In the month of March 2010, n. 23/2010 of the Periodical "Apostolato Universale" was sent out to all the subscribers and Pallottine communities. This issue consists of 80 pages and contains historical information and contributions on the spirituality of Vincent Pallotti. One text of great historical importance is the funeral eulogy of St. Vincent Pallotti. The characteristic note of the Pallottine spirituality finds its expression in the article on the history of the Hospice of Danzia and in the conferences given during the meeting of study in 2009: the figures of Judith and Mary in the spirituality of Pallotti and sanctity in the light of the canticle "Benedictus". This issue is concluded with the Pallottine bibliography and a summary of the thesis on the Mount of Perfection of St. John of the Cross elaborated and spread by Pallotti. We hope that the reading of the texts of this issue may inspire the followers and friends of Vincent Pallotti to revive their union with God and strengthen their apostolic commitment.
