Visitation of the Bangalore Province (BA) Print
Visita Ufficiale - BA - 2011The official Visitation of the Indian Province of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (BA) took place from 28th October – 18th November 2011 by the following members of the General Regime: J. Nampudakam, A. Golec, F. Harelimana, M. Manus and V. Gorbatykh. The Rector General, J. Nampudakam along with the Procurator General V. Gorbatykh visited the local communities while the other General Consulters met the single members.
The Bangalore Province is one with great human and apostolic potential (the Province on December 31st 2010 numbered 129 priests, 12 Perpetually Consecrated students, 91 of Temporary Consecration and 30 candidates in the Introductory period.) It is important that these energies are directed towards the common missions of the Society and that the sense of unity among the confreres continues to grow.
The Visit was organised with much care and the hospitality of the confreres and the communities was excellent. PHOTO

Provincial Assembly of the Swiss Province 'St Nich. of Flue' Print

The Provincial Assembly of the Swiss Province 'St Nicholas of Flue' took place on November 14th, 2011 in Gossau, Switzerland. Twelve of the sixteen members participated. The approved agenda contained various reports, projects and accounts for the future.
The Swiss Province, despite having few members, again offers pastoral services to Parishes and develops a wide apostolic activity: from the parishes to theological and spiritual formation; from the administration of the editing of the Ferment magazine; from the obligations ad intra of our community to those ad extra in the Union of the Catholic Apostolate, in Switzerland.
The Secretary for the Missions, Fr Erich Schadler, presented a list of more than fifteen missionary projects, supported from October 2010 to September 2011. New initiatives of collaboration have been realised.
After the arrival of Fr Ferdinand Franco (BA) in August 2011, two young Indian confreres from the Nagpur Province will arrive in the month of November.
The decision of the participants of the Provincial Assembly to invest straight away in new projects of construction and renovation at Morschach (house, chapel, cemetery) expresses not only the disposition to journey, to take new steps forward, but also a strong and living hope.

SAC Calendar 2012 Print
Calendario SAC 2012The SAC Calendar 2012 was sent to all the major Superiors. This contains the Feasts of our Society, i.e. the Patrons of all the entities and of our holy Founder, of the Blessed Martyrs and of our Patroness, Mary Queen of Apostles and the names of our deceased members of the last 25 years. The Rector General in the presentation of the Calendar notes that "each country and each Diocese has its own Liturgical calendar and may consider ours as something extra or irrelevant. It ought not to be so because we ought to remain in communion with the local and universal Church to create a 'Pallottine culture' in our way of living the Liturgy. Thus, the Feasts of the Society and the UAC together with the Patronal Feasts of the Provinces/ Regions become part of our spiritual and apostolic heritage. It is not only a duty to remember and pray for our deceased members but is also a sign of brotherly communion".
