Official Visitation of the Prov. of the “Annunciation" (PN) Print

Visita Ufficiale alla Provincia dell'Annunciazione del Signore (PN)

From 27 September to 18 October 2009, the Rector General, Fr. Friedrich Kretz, accompanied by the First Consultor, Fr. Zenon Hanas, and the General Consultors, Fr. Jacob Nampudakam and Fr. Gilberto Orsolin as well as the Secretary General, Fr. Janusz Łuczak, did the Official Visitation of the Polish Province of the “Annunciation of the Lord” (PN). This is the last major Official Visitation during the mandate of the present General Council. The organisation and the dynamics of the Visitation enabled the Rector General to meet with all the confreres of the Province who had assembled in different Local Communities and to give them a spiritual and Pallottine message.
The Province of the “Annunciation of the Lord” has more than two hundred confreres who are working in the Western part of Poland, in Belarus, Papua New Guinea, South Korea, United States, Mexico and Scotland.

Road accident in South Africa Print

The serious road accident that occurred in the Great Karoo (South Africa), on Friday 16 October 2009, involved 12 candidates in Preparatory Formation at Step-A-Side and a deacon who was driving the minibus. One of the tyres of the vehicle was burst and the driver lost control of the vehicle. Three candidates lost their lives - Okoli Peter Ndubisi and Muoneke Arinzechukwu Clement from Nigeria and Chituyange Fredrick from Malawi. Three of them returned to the community on the same day with the deacon. The injured ones were initially treated in the nearby hospitals and were later transferred to specialised clinics. The candidate from Mozambique who had gone into coma has regained consciousness. The rest of the injured eventually returned to the community. Let us pray that the Lord may grant eternal life to the deceased and cure the injured ones so that they may be able to continue their vocational journey, even strengthened by this sad experience.

Let us pray for our departed confreres: Print
