The St. Vincent Pallotti Institute in Rome published and distributed edition number 24/2010 of the periodical "Apostolato Universale" in the month of October, it consists of 96 pages. This edition carries some items of historical news and several contributions to Pallottine formation. It opens with notes on the link between St. Vincent Pallotti and John Henry Newman, beatified by Benedict XVI on September 19th 2010. This is followed by an interview with Fr. Bruno Bayer, SAC, who has finished the task of editing Pallotti's Letters. In the section dedicated to formation there are three presentations from the conferences delivered during the Study Gatherings organized by the Pallotti Institute: the first of these presents priestly life and the pastoral situation in Rome at the time of Pallotti; the second speaks of the conferences for the Roman clergy instituted by Pallotti and the third deals with the theme of collaboration in the vision of Pallotti. The Pallottine Bibliography section in this edition covers the period from January to June 2010. Appended to this is an extract from a text on the characteristics of St. Vincent Pallotti's apostolic desire.
