The General Secretary of the UAC, Fr. Derry Murphy, visited the confreres in Colombia from October 3rd to 14th and participated in a meeting of the members of the delegature held in the House of Formation in Medellin.
On October 7th a building adjacent to the House of Formation was blessed and inaugurated during a Eucharistic Celebration, it is to be the Coordination Centre for the UAC. The presiding celebrant at the Eucharist was the Episcopal Vicar for Religious Life in the Archdiocese of Medellin, Mons. Luis Alfredo Restrepo Sierra, and the confreres of the Society concelebrated, a large group of lay persons participated. The building will be used for diverse apostolic activities of the Union.
On October 9th a lay woman from Medellin made the Act of Apostolic Commitment during a Mass celebrated in the chapel of the House of Formation. On Sunday October 12th a group of 13 persons who are all members of the community ‘La Komunidad' made the Act of Apostolic Commitment in the Parish of Maria Reina, in Bogotà in a Mass concelebrated by Fr. Murphy and Fr. Mariusz Maka, the Provincial Delegate, and Fr. Andres Zielinski.
