Notizie dal Generalato/Istituto S. Vincenzo Pallotti
The Director of the St Vincent Pallotti Institute in Rome, Fr Jan Kupka SAC accompanied the days of spirituality of the Union – Kreis di Hochaltingen (Germany) on December 2nd-4th 2011. The theme proposed for the reflection was centred on 'Revive the Faith'. Beginning from the objectives of the Year of faith, proclaimed by Benedict XVI for the years 2012-2013, there were presentations on the meditations on reviving faith according to St Vincent Pallotti and in the General Statutes of the Union of the Catholic Apostolate. The prayer in common, the Eucharistic celebrations and the sharing in groups, were occasions for discussion and to examine thoroughly the challenges to the Christian faith in modern society and in the life of a follower of St Vincent Pallotti.

A meeting of about 50 young Pallottine priests, brothers and sisters was held in the Pia Casa di Carità on 8 March 2009. After the initial welcome, the young participants were introduced to the history of the Pia Casa di Carità founded by our Founder, St. Vincent Pallotti in the year 1838, by Sr. Serena Cambiaghi, General Superior of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Catholic Apostolate. It was followed by a visit to the historical locations in the house and sharing in the groups based on the theme of charity in the light of I Cor. 13. The high point of the meeting was the Eucharistic Concelebration presided over by Fr. Fabian Silveira and animated by the participants with diverse cultural symbols and meaningful singing. It was for the first time that such a meeting in Rome was attended by so many young Pallottines. This is certainly an indication of the growing sense of Pallottine spirit and identity as well as the fraternal spirit that exists among the Pallottine communities in Rome.

Notizie dal Generalato/Regime Generale
The second Sunday of May for the Generalate is marked by a particular trip, that of S. Giorgio of Cascia, a small village near the shrine of St. Rita of Cascia. This year the date coincided with the feast of Pentecost, and thus also with that of the Queen of the Apostles. As always, some representatives of the Generalate, along with some other Pallottine family members left for S. Giorgio on the Sunday of the descent of the Holy Spirit. Three days before the feast, Sr Edoarda of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Catholic Apostolate animated and guided the Triduum of preparation, dedicated to Mary, Queen of the Apostles, which ended with the enthronement of the statue of Pallotti in the parish church of S. Giorgio. During the Sunday liturgical celebration, however, it was our holy Founder, who invited us all to enter the Upper Room awaiting the Holy Spirit.

Notizie dal Generalato/Notizie dall'Unione dell'Apostolato Cattolico
On 11 May, like every year, the members of the Generalate, together with the friends, guests and other personnel of the house, took part in the Easter Picnic. This year we visited the gardens of Ninfa, the abbeys of Valvisciolo and Fossanova and at the end, Terracina, a place on the coast of the Mediterranean sea. Thanks to the good climate, we were able to appreciate the plants coming from the whole world in the gardens of Ninfa, to breathe the serene and prayerful air in the Cistercian monasteries and to meditate at the place where St. Thomas Aquinas died (Fossanova). Finally we had a beautiful view of the ancient temple of Jupiter at Terracina. The day spent together gave us another opportunity to strengthen our friendship and to know a little more of Italy.

Saturday, 15 May 2010, unfortunately on a heavily rainy day, the traditional Easter Picnic of the Generalate Community, was organised with the participation of the confreres, the workers, the candidates of Preparatory Formation of the Italian Province, a priest from the community of Via Giuseppe Ferrari and two confreres from the community of San Silvestro. The well-organised picnic enabled the participants to follow the footsteps of St. Francis of Assisi in the "Holy Valleys", by visiting the sanctuaries of Fonte Colombo - where the Mass was celebrated presided over by Fr. Gilberto Orsolin - Foresta, Poggio Bustone and Greccio. All the participants were touched by the welcoming presence of the Franciscan Friars and above all, by the testimony of the Young Austrian in the sanctuary of Foresta, who is a member of the Community World X, founded by a Franciscan Friar. The picnic was concluded with a festive supper.

Notizie dal Generalato/Regime Generale
Forty one of the confreres and employees of the General House and of the students of the annual Course of Formation at the Cenacle in Via Giuseppe Ferrari participated in the traditional Easter Trip of the General House, organised for Saturday May 21st 2011. This year the destination was the Shrine of the Holy Face in Manoppello, where the Capuchin friars welcomed us and led us in an explanation of the history and significance of the famous relic which, together with the Holy Shroud of Turin, depicts the true image of Christ. The Shrine, visited in Autumn 2006 by Pope Benedict XIV, is the destination of constant pilgrimages every year. So we were lucky enough to contemplate the Face of the Risen Lord: this icon on canvas "which was neither painted nor woven" in which the Risen Christ appears in all the splendour of his Life. The Rector of the House, Fr. Gilberto Orsolin, presided at the Eucharist which was animated by members of the annual Course of Formation guided by Fr. Stanisław Stawicki. After Mass and the visit to the museum and treasury of the Capuchin monastery the participants enjoyed the fresh clean air of the Parco Nazionale (National Park) della Maiella where they had a picnic. The day ended with a festive dinner at Rocca Priora.

Notizie dal Generalato/Regime Generale
Between the end of May and the beginning of June 2009, the Generalate community had the joy of welcoming three groups of Polish Pallottine priests who celebrated diverse jubilees of their priesthood. The first group celebrated 30 years of their priesthood, the second 15 years and the last was a group of the newly-ordained priests. These confreres are either working or are preparing to work in Poland and the different countries in the Pallottine world. All arrived in Rome with the intention of following the footsteps of St. Vincent Pallotti, of celebrating the Holy Mass on his altar, and to offer, through the intercession of Mary, Queen of the Apostles, the joys, sufferings and concerns of their priestly service. In a special way, the newly-ordained priests of the two Polish Provinces shared with us their youthful enthusiasm. We wish that their experience at the altar of St. V. Pallotti, in the church of SS. Salvatore in Onda, may enable them to give a fervent testimony to the Pallottine charism, especially during this newly inaugurated Year of Priesthood.
